A: Before we get started, we should mention that you can return items to Hot Topic stores! How convenient is that!
- Please save the invoice received with your package. It's your receipt!
- Hot Topic must receive the return within 45 days of purchase, mmmkay?
- CLEARANCE MERCHANDISE CANNOT BE RETURNED/EXCHANGED. ALL SALES ARE FINAL ON CLEARANCE MERCHANDISE. We have that part in all caps to make sure you see it.
- If an exchange is needed, you'll be charged for the new order and then credited when Hot Topic receives the original merchandise back.
- Sorry, original shipping cost is not reimbursed on returns or exchanges.
- Shoes and clothing can be exchanged or returned but not if the product has been worn or shows visible signs of wear. Don't run through the woods with the stuff, mmmkay?

Q: How do I send something back?

If you live in the continental United States, just visit our Customer Service Page to contact us, or call us at 1.800.892.8674 or +1.626.709.1189 for international customers, and have the answers to the following questions handy:
1. Is this going to be a return or an exchange?
2. What item number(s) and item(s) are you going to be sending back?
3. What is the reason you're sending the items back?
4. What is the first and last name the order is listed under?
5. If this is an exchange, what are the replacement item number(s), item(s) and size(s)?
Pretty painless, huh? Remember, to get a Return Authorization number (RA#, or RMA# if referred to by FedEx), you must call or E-mail us BEFORE sending your product back! A FedEx Return Label will then be issued and
E-mailed to you. Returns that are not accompanied by a Return Authorization number will be sent back to the customer. Returns and exchanges take approximately 2-4 weeks for processing. We appreciate your patience!
If you live outside the continental United States, we're sorry but we won't be able to provide you with a return label or reimburse you for return postage costs. You may return the item(s) using any method available. However, we do recommend using a method that can be tracked to avoid lost merchandise.
Additionally, if you do live outside the continental United States, there may be additional fees charged by the Customs offices in your country, once the product has been exchanged and re-shipped to you. Hot Topic will not assume responsibility for these fees, nor can we reimburse you for any fees incurred.
